Eastern Australia and Its Famous Tourist Destinations

If you are taking a holiday soon, one great place to go is Australia. In Australia you find many diverse places to visit, like pure wildernesses and modern cities. Tourists go to Australia to have a taste of Australian adventure. This big country in Oceania is surrounded by two large oceans and experience great tropical weather.

Everything that you can think of doing on your holiday, you can do it in Australia. There are many great cities to tour, beach to surf and swim, and mountains to climb. If you don’t want to join the tourist rush, the best months to go are June to August and experience mild temperatures and sunny skies or if you want hotter days you can go there from December to February for a great outdoor adventure.

Queensland boasts of its Gold Coast which is one of its largest cities. During the mid 90s, the Gold Coast became known for its beautiful beaches which surfers had enjoyed immensely. Here, in Australia’s Hollywood, people enjoy their exquisite nightlife. If you are on a Gold Coast holiday, you can rent one of the elite holiday homes for a wonderful stay in the city.

The capital of New South Wales, which is Sydney is famous for its Opera House and the Harbor bridge. Here, you can have a surfing holiday at the Bondi beach where even beginners can take their first try at surfing. In Sydney, you can also find many free outdoor markets and there are many restaurants where Asian cuisine is served.

The Blue Mountains lie west of Sydney, and this is a rugged terrain of rainforests and tall mountain peaks. This is a World Heritage region with plenty of wildlife and different species of plant and animals that inhabit the place. If you are fond of mountain climbing or biking, then this is the place for you. Come and experience the great scenery up the mountains. The Katoomba Scenic Railway is one place you can go to see the steepest funicular railway in the world.

There are seventy four inhabited islands in Australia’s eastern coast known as Whitsunday Islands. There are many rainforests and white sand beaches in these islands. A few meters away from the Great Barrier Reef, these islands is a place of great landscapes and beautiful sunsets. This is famous for its Clipper Race Carnival which is yacht-watching events, and have a great seafood experience.

You can also visit Daintree Rainforest which is chosen as a Unesco World Heritage site located on the north east coast of Queensland. This is the largest continuous tropical rainforest in Australia. In this site lives the Kuku Yalanhi people. Here you can visit the Daintree Discovery Center with its aerial walkway. If you want some quiet time along the beautiful coast, visit the Mysall Beach.
